Z Good Life

Erich and his dad decided to go halfsies on a welder. Every once in a while, they come across something that needs to be welded, but not often enough to buy one for themselves. It made sense to split the cost, and they'll both be able to use it when necessary.

As you might guess, the Z men are all vey excited about this new toy (er, I mean, tool). Erich and Jay have already played (um, worked) with it, and Gary gave it a whirl last weekend. Erich plans to use it to make some bodywork repairs on his Z car, but at this time he confesses to only be good at burning holes in sheet metal. (Yikes.)

Erich has a hobby car. It's a Datsun 260Z, and that's about all I know. Well, it's blue. And Erich ordered a brand new transmission, after burning through a couple of rebuilt ones. And the Z Men discovered a hole when they were sanding down some Bondo. There. Now THAT'S all I know.

Erich's parents came to stay with us for a few days in order to give Erich and Gary some time to work together on the Z car! The Z Men thoroughly enjoyed their time together, and the Z Women thoroughly enjoyed "running errands" (at the mall, and Ross, and TJ Maxx, etc.) every day.
